The most obvious can sometimes
be completely overlooked. There
are hard facts that support the
fact that Lithium will become
unavailable for the production
of Lithium Ion batteries for the
EV's and Hybrid's of the future or
the present

The folly of dependance on LIthium
ion batteries for a power storage
source or as a bridge technology
until a more enduring technology
is developed is not a secret.
Until Fuel cell Batteries are in
production or an alternate source
is developed the EV market may
collapse.

This adds fuel to the theory that a
giant auto maker may face another
crisis. This mega auto producer
may be marching towards it's
decline as a world market leader.

There are great reserves of the heavy
metal Lithium in sea water but the
enormous cost of extracting it is
off the charts. There is no evidence
that this reserve will ever be utilized.

There is even less evidence that
the existing Lithium mines in
South America can deliver the goods
in less than 20 years. The reserves are
there but the infrastructure is not.
There is a complete absence of an
infrastructure central to these mines
and the political climate is less than
friendly for foreign capital.

The "Prius Edsel factor" part one

Prius is planing a switch from Nicad

battery to the highly touted lithium ion

battery. This will likely give the Prius a

place in auto history as infamous as the

Ford Edsel. The ion battery will disappear

from the market in less than 15 years.

Lithium mines are already having trouble

keeping up with the cell phone and laptop

computer demand. There will be zero

reserves of lithium within 12 to 15 years.

Hybrids will need to find an option to the

lithium ion battery.

Switching to the Ion battery will put the

Prius in a class of its own. The process

of adapting your Prius to an battery

powered ion plug in will cost you around

$12000.00 minus a tax break of an estimated

$4000.00 Not an economical option.

The battery problem might just price the

Prius out of the market for working stiffs

who make less than $200,000.00 a year.

Most of the over 10,000. prius owners will

need to replace their nicad batteries in

about 8 years. Presently he cost is around

$3000.00. The projected cost in 8 years

will likely exceed $6000.00 but supply will

be nill. They will need to find another

option to keep their Toyota humming along

at lightning speeds.

The Chinese are eating nickel

as if it were rice. Nickel is used to

produce stainless steel and China leads

in export and domestic production of

stainless steel. The cost of nickel is

expected to make a 500% cost leap in

less than 5 years. Reserves of nickel in

the world market are dangerously low.

Nicad batteries are already priced out

of the market. That eliminates the nicad

and switching to Ion batteries will result

in a bigger hit to Toyota than any of the

damaging recalls presently undermining

faith in the reliability of all Toyotas. The

option for a change to Ion batteries for

Hybirds to ion plug ins is like selling snake

oil to cure diabetics. Cost factors will not

be a problem but supply will. The raw

material, lithium, will not be available

since there are no producing

mines. Estimates are that it would take

at least ten years to develop the

infrastructure to allow production in

the two existing mines in South America.

Presently the worlds production ,which

is dwindling to nothing, is used to make

the wonderful exploding ion batteries

used in notebooks and cell phones.

You might recall the press bites on

flaming notebooks, Ion batteries are

prone to overheating a fault that is far

worse than "sudden acceleration".

Look for press bites in the future on

flaming or exploding Priuses. There

will be an acute shortage of Ion batteries

and the cost will be porhibitive for most

Prius owners other than Steve Jobs or

Bill Gates who both drive a Prius on

ocassion.

Again Toyota moves toward another

drop in sales when the Public realizes

that the Prius will be virtually obsolete

in less than ten years. Sooner if you were

a"pioneer" and need to change your

batteries sooner.

The annual sales volume of the Prius is

now exceeding 100,000 units. Which

proves that the gullible world market will

buy snake oil if you beat a drum hard

enough and package your product

attractively. Again "the Edsel Factor".

Consumers are simply uniformed by the

lack of truth and blinded by media hype.

Are there other options for this disaster

that are practical? The simple answer is

no. The only future option that might be

practical are fuel cells but development

of this clean technology will take at least

another 10 years. Production will probably

take another 5 years to commence. This

will allow time for the public to become

thourougly disillusioned with electric

power by any means. The Japanese

auto industry may be facing the same fate

experienced by the auto industry in the United

States, Death from arrogance, greed and

poor management. Even giants like Godzilla

can be reduced to ashes when they step into

a volcanic crater. Possibly there might be a

miraculous recovery of the auto industry in

the U.S. Henry Ford would be proud.

REPUBLICAN PARTY WHO ARE HELL

BENT ON COMPLETELY HALTING THE

POLITICAL PROCESS AND THE

SUBSEQUENT RUNNING OF A POWERFUL

NATION AT ANY COST.

THIS REFLECTS AN ATMOSPHERE

OF VIOLENCE. THIS STONEWALLING

OF THE UNITED STATES POLITICAL

PROCESS IS A FORM OF PASSIVE VIOLENCE.

NO BETTER TERM COULD BE COINED THAN

IT'S "LIKE SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE

FOOT". VIOLENCE HAS INFECTED THE

NATION.VIOLENCE IS NOW USED AS A

COMMON VEHICLE FOR EXPRESSING

FRUSTRATION, IT HAS BECOME A FORM

OF JUSTICE FOR AN ALARMING NUMBER

OF PEOPLE. VIOLENCE HAS BECOME A

IMPORTANT, AND POPULAR FORM OF

EDUCATION FOR YOUNG AMERICAN

MALES. QUICKLY IT IS BEGINNING TO

HAVE EQUAL FOOTING AS A

DESIRABLE FORM OF EDUCATION FOR

YOUNG AMERICAN FEMALES. WE ARE

A NATION OF WARRIORS WHO HAVE

BECOME EXPERTS IN THE MOST EFFICIENT

FORMS OF KILLING AND VIOLENCE.

WE HAVE BEEN AT WAR AS LONG AS

I CAN REMEMBER, MY MEMORY FAILS

ME WHEN I TRY RECALL ANY LENGTHY

PERIODS OF PEACE. THE ENORMOUS

BUDGET FOR THE SCHOOLS OF WAR

DWARFS THE BUDGET ALLOTTED TO

"PEACEFUL FORMS OF EDUCATION". IT

IS NO WONDER THAT VIOLENCE HAS

BECOME AN INHERENT PART OF THE

NATIONS PSYCHE.

IN THE PAST DEMOCRATS REPEATEDLY

USED THE POLITICS OF HATE AGAINST

BUSH AND OTHERS. THEY CONTINUE

THIS PRACTICE TO A LESSER EXTENT

BUT THE REPUBLICANS HAVE BEGAN

TO PRACTICE WHAT IS AN EXTREME

FORM OF THIS FORM OF HATE THAT

WILL EVENTUALLY DESTROY THE POLITICAL

PROCESS IN AMERICA. THERE IS AFTER

ALL ONLY ONE PRESIDENT, THE

PRACTICE OF UNILATERALLY,

OFFENSIVELY, STONEWALLING THE

PRESIDENT IS SELF DEFACING AND

DESTRUCTIVE. IT IS THE MOST

UNDIGNIFIED FORM OF POLITICAL

ACTION. WHEN HAS THE PRACTICE OF

DOING NOTHING BECOME A PLATFORM

OF PROGRESS FOR THE NATION.

THE NOISE SURROUDING ME

There are two kinds of noise "the ordinary",

birds, dogs , nature , thunder , lightning all

normal and part of the natural universe.

Then with the introduction of humans

the noise I hate came to the earth.

Offensive temporal noise like farting,

burping, etc. and the accompanying

mechanical noises that humans

generate with their infernal machines,

car alarms, lawn mowers, weed whackers,

macho mufflers etc. The scientific name

in movies for this is "white noise"

and must be brought into the sound

proof world of the movie studios, in

other words all the noise that humans

bring to the table are combined and

mixed into a palatable background of

an offensive latent mix. Humans need

this latent sound in movies to feel that

things are "normal" and are not aware

of this "white noise". We now have a

plenitude of this man made offensive

garbage to combine into white noise.

I would like to have been here to

experience the silence before the

advent of humans on earth. White

noise did not exist. In my opinion it

was a sad choice the creator made.

People are incredibly self centered

and arrogant using the two feet God

gave them to carry garbage in the

form of real decomposing matter

and offensive sounds to different

locations where they can stop and

dump this shit in random patterns

on the face of the earth.

Some now predict the end, hooray!,

what an event to look forward to. It

should happen sooner. But there is

no regret by humans they only

celebrate this by taking a bigger

and more toxic shit extending it to

the deepest oceans and the far

poles north and south. Humans pretend

to care but continue to take a dump on

the Universe.

Again the United States has failed in its

attempts to truly win the hearts and

minds of another nation. The heroic

efforts and loss of life in Haiti could

have been diminished greatly by an

elevated protocol of giving aid with

built in requirements that are humane

in nature. You could almost apply buddhistic

precepts as a requirement for receiving

aid. Consider the following in relation

to Haiti. Simple but effective.

1. Not killing or causing harm to other living

beings.

Not requiring Haiti to have strong building codes

as a requirement for receiving aid is a failure.

How many lives could have been saved

by enforced construction laws?

2. Not taking the not-given.

Not requiring a viable means for the distribution

of aid in Haiti is a failure. Aid that would benefit

all Haitians is often going into the coffers of greedy

and corrupt politicians.

3. Avoiding sexual misconduct.

Not requiring a viable health policy before giving

aid is a failure.Haiti has a high rate of HIV and other

preventable deceases such as H.P.V.,DANGUE AND T.B.

4. Avoiding false speech.

Not projecting or clarifying intentions is a failure.

The intentions and expected results should be

transparent and not motivated mostly by projecting

a good image of the United States.

5. Abstaining from drink and drugs that cloud the

mind.

Not requiring strong drug laws and preventative programs

before giving aid is a failure.Haiti has a drug problem

that spills over into other nations. Not requiring strong laws

as a requirement for aid fails the people of Haiti.

Recipients of U.S. aid facilitates short term political

gains or emergencies. The impact of many emergencies

could be diminished greatly by requiring nations

that receive aid of any kind from the U.S. to have

protocols and laws that are humane. They should not

be motivated by greed or short term political gains by

the U.S., Local politicians or large corporations

A bhudist approach to giving aid would result

in long term gains for both recipients of aid

as well as the U.S. This ideal approach is

impossible but the present protocols are "less

than perfect" to use a often quoted Bhudist phrase.

We can certainly move closer to perfect.

The primary policy for giving aid should require the

recipients to put in place humane practices as outlined

above. This protocol would result in an efficient,

beneficial style of aid that would reach the people of Haiti.

No humane practices , No aid. The simple justice

of children is a better and more mature

protocol than that now practiced by the United

States. Perhaps it is time for more maturity.

Escalation in Colombia

The recent treaty that gives United

States forces more access and freedom

of movement in and around Colombia

appears from the outside to be a

preamble for a war between Colombia

and Venezuela with logistical

support from the US. The range and

capabilities of us surveillance planes

reaches far beyond the borders of

Colombia. One questions the motive

which is stated to be an acceleration

of the war on drugs.

Many Americans at sometime in their

life have used Cocaine. The estimate

runs as high as 60% and in effect this

directly or indirectly supports F.A.R.C.

who support their activities mainly by

the sale of Cocaine. Most Cocaine

ends up in the U.S. and is an economic

force in the United States. The United

States has mounted an enormous and

costly "war" to stop the flow of drugs

from Colombia and other countries.

There is a less costly and logical

solution.

The American people continue

to use and sale Cocaine at the street

level, motivated by profit and greed.

Cocaine has become an integral part

of the underground economy. Cocaine

not only kills at the street level in

the Bronx and L.A. but supports

wars and counter revolutionary

activities that has resulted in the

death of millions outside the

borders of the United States.

The so called "war on drugs" has

proven ineffective in reducing

the use or Cocaine and other

drugs. Often it has been suggested

that legalizing the sale of all

drugs would remove the profit

motive and generate taxes. The

cost of setting up a beauracracy to

regulate drug sales would be a

fraction of the cost of a war

on drugs and would certainly

reduce the cost in the courts and

prisons where harsh laws and strict

enforcement have greatly increased

Prison populations.

The reduction of killing is incalculable

but significant to the security and

safety of the Global population.

Legalizing drugs would solve the

problem virtually overnight and

free the police from extensive

operations to curb the sale of drugs.

However this might be comparable

to the Banks and be to large of an

economic force to allow failure of the

illegal sale of drugs.

Americans continue to use and

inadvertently support the killing

through the use of illegal drugs.

Blinded by a smokescreen of good

intentions by their government and

euphoria.

PULL OUT OF AFGHANISTAN

President Obama is cranking up the conflict in

Afghanistan by adding a substantial number of

young able Americans to the fight for freedom in

that war torn country. Freedom is not a tradition

in a country that is habitually in conflict and they

have been murdering each other for centuries,

It is cultural.

Afghanistan, not unlike the United States , has

come to regard war as a cost for doing business.

LIke the U.S. they are dependent upon war to

move the economy along. This is a result of centuries

of tribal rule. If a tribe next door attacks you there

is a brutal economic and territorial war declared.

You gain, they lose economically and politically.

We are simply a tribe that came from a greater

distance with an enormous handicap. Our

understanding of the culture is practically nil

and the cost is an enormous drag on an already

crippled U.S. economy. The increase in troop strength

will result in more and better trained combatants

on the other side.

This escalation will elevate the ugly American

to the new status of invader.Using a phrase

from a most distinguished orator George Bush,

" This is a crusade". This ignorant phrase

put a religious twist to our efforts that we will

never shed. From a pheasants viewpoint we

may as well be knights on white horses who have

come to pillage, rape and murder the citizens of

Afghanistan.

No it is not VietNam where there was a unified

resistance to the French and later to the United

States. VietNam was not a cultural war it was

political and the populace was fully aware of

this. We like the French never had a chance

of real victory and occupation was never an option.

The great difference between the two conflicts

is glaring. To use a trite phrase it is like comparing

grapes to raisins. Yes there is a unified resistance

but in Afghanistan it is only as far as you can reach

out and pay the nearest unemployed person money

to kill Americans.

In VietNam it was expansive from border to

border people would fight for months living

on fish heads and a small personal bag of rice.

It was an idealistic cause.

There is not this total unification in Afghanistan it

is a fragmented cause, tribal, religious, territorial and

sometimes so localized that even brothers are

fighting and killing each other. The predictability of

the outcome farther than 50 miles from you is

impossible . There are no resources of any

value to support a stable economy, the political

resources are corrupt and ineffective. It is

impossible and foolish to set a date for a

pullout of American troops.

The most logical conclusion is that we should

pull out now since there is not chance of depositing

the seeds of democracy in Afghanistan . I

support our troops in their efforts to hunt

down and kill the leaders and operatives who

were responsible for 9-11. I do not see any

logical reason to establish a puppet government

as we have done in Iraq.

Pull out and use the technology that we have

developed, drones and selective bombing. Use

special units to penetrate any country that harbors

these devils and destroy them no matter the location.

Ignore civilian casualties since the body count

will be substantially less on both sides.
