Escalation in Colombia

The recent treaty that gives United
States forces more access and freedom
of movement in and around Colombia
appears from the outside to be a
preamble for a war between Colombia
and Venezuela with logistical
support from the US. The range and
capabilities of us surveillance planes
reaches far beyond the borders of
Colombia. One questions the motive
which is stated to be an acceleration
of the war on drugs.

Many Americans at sometime in their
life have used Cocaine. The estimate
runs as high as 60% and in effect this
directly or indirectly supports F.A.R.C.
who support their activities mainly by
the sale of Cocaine. Most Cocaine
ends up in the U.S. and is an economic
force in the United States. The United
States has mounted an enormous and
costly "war" to stop the flow of drugs
from Colombia and other countries.
There is a less costly and logical
solution.

The American people continue
to use and sale Cocaine at the street
level, motivated by profit and greed.
Cocaine has become an integral part
of the underground economy. Cocaine
not only kills at the street level in
the Bronx and L.A. but supports
wars and counter revolutionary
activities that has resulted in the
death of millions outside the
borders of the United States.

The so called "war on drugs" has
proven ineffective in reducing
the use or Cocaine and other
drugs. Often it has been suggested
that legalizing the sale of all
drugs would remove the profit
motive and generate taxes. The
cost of setting up a beauracracy to
regulate drug sales would be a
fraction of the cost of a war
on drugs and would certainly
reduce the cost in the courts and
prisons where harsh laws and strict
enforcement have greatly increased
Prison populations.

The reduction of killing is incalculable
but significant to the security and
safety of the Global population.

Legalizing drugs would solve the
problem virtually overnight and
free the police from extensive
operations to curb the sale of drugs.

However this might be comparable
to the Banks and be to large of an
economic force to allow failure of the
illegal sale of drugs.

Americans continue to use and
inadvertently support the killing
through the use of illegal drugs.
Blinded by a smokescreen of good
intentions by their government and
euphoria.

PULL OUT OF AFGHANISTAN

President Obama is cranking up the conflict in

Afghanistan by adding a substantial number of

young able Americans to the fight for freedom in

that war torn country. Freedom is not a tradition

in a country that is habitually in conflict and they

have been murdering each other for centuries,

It is cultural.

Afghanistan, not unlike the United States , has

come to regard war as a cost for doing business.

LIke the U.S. they are dependent upon war to

move the economy along. This is a result of centuries

of tribal rule. If a tribe next door attacks you there

is a brutal economic and territorial war declared.

You gain, they lose economically and politically.

We are simply a tribe that came from a greater

distance with an enormous handicap. Our

understanding of the culture is practically nil

and the cost is an enormous drag on an already

crippled U.S. economy. The increase in troop strength

will result in more and better trained combatants

on the other side.

This escalation will elevate the ugly American

to the new status of invader.Using a phrase

from a most distinguished orator George Bush,

" This is a crusade". This ignorant phrase

put a religious twist to our efforts that we will

never shed. From a pheasants viewpoint we

may as well be knights on white horses who have

come to pillage, rape and murder the citizens of

Afghanistan.

No it is not VietNam where there was a unified

resistance to the French and later to the United

States. VietNam was not a cultural war it was

political and the populace was fully aware of

this. We like the French never had a chance

of real victory and occupation was never an option.

The great difference between the two conflicts

is glaring. To use a trite phrase it is like comparing

grapes to raisins. Yes there is a unified resistance

but in Afghanistan it is only as far as you can reach

out and pay the nearest unemployed person money

to kill Americans.

In VietNam it was expansive from border to

border people would fight for months living

on fish heads and a small personal bag of rice.

It was an idealistic cause.

There is not this total unification in Afghanistan it

is a fragmented cause, tribal, religious, territorial and

sometimes so localized that even brothers are

fighting and killing each other. The predictability of

the outcome farther than 50 miles from you is

impossible . There are no resources of any

value to support a stable economy, the political

resources are corrupt and ineffective. It is

impossible and foolish to set a date for a

pullout of American troops.

The most logical conclusion is that we should

pull out now since there is not chance of depositing

the seeds of democracy in Afghanistan . I

support our troops in their efforts to hunt

down and kill the leaders and operatives who

were responsible for 9-11. I do not see any

logical reason to establish a puppet government

as we have done in Iraq.

Pull out and use the technology that we have

developed, drones and selective bombing. Use

special units to penetrate any country that harbors

these devils and destroy them no matter the location.

Ignore civilian casualties since the body count

will be substantially less on both sides.

OUT OF THE BOX AND OFF TARGET

There is a common belief that the new health

plan as designed by the IRS will not cut

health cost to the average American. There

are two things that it assuredly accomplishes.

One is that Seniors, as we call them, will lose

a great deal of protection and care. This sector

will pay for most of the "New Health Plan"

when it stands ready for presentation and a

vote. Two, it will not decrease the cost of

actual health care and most probably will

raise the cost of insurance for the untouchables

who can hardly afford minimal coverage even

now. This includes millions of Americans,

Seniors, the unemployed, the under employed,

low income families, and illegal immigrants.

It will swell the coffers of the drug companies,

their lobbyists, the insurance companies and

the IRS. Possibly there will be preps for

legislators. I am searching for a logical

explanation for the passage of the "Health Bill".

This is no more than criminal that energy and

time has been misspent and more will

be wasted in the process of passing this ill

formed legislation. The reality is that it

positions the insurance companies, health

providers, and the IRS, for a profit taking binge

not unlike the Banks are still enjoying. Until

actual health cost are reigned in the trend

for more Americans joining the ranks of the

untouchables will increase dramatically.

THE NEW HEALTH PLAN OR SHOW

ME YOUR NAPPY MR. OBAMA

The new health plan is probably the

largest single event in legislation for

the past 20 years. However it might

also be considered the largest most

single non-event. Hidden carefully

among the tedious 1502 pages is the

formula for a detailed look at the tax

structure of every individual in the

United States, a mandatory exposure

of the protocol one uses in calculating

taxes from individuals to corporations.

All will be stripped bare. This gives rise,

in time, to a phalanx of disputes and

outright lies. One might be led to believe

that the IRS wrote the bill. As stealth as

it is you will notice it when you read and

scrutinize the bill carefully.

Not so stealth is the appropriation of

funds devoted to the care of Seniors.

The larger part of the economic stimulus

for the bill comes from benefits stolen

from the coffers of Medicare and other

health care venues that benefited and

supported the aging. In my opinion this

verges on being a criminal act if not

treason. There will be no outcry since

the Democratic party has sold this as

a necessity to pay for the care of all

American, a classic sacrifice of a few

for the many.

The real cost of medicare was inflated and

mostly rife with corruption and became

a new venue for criminals. Medicare fraud

has taken first place as the major criminal

activity. Drugs are now in second place.

This is a new "Society of Criminals" who are

never in harms way, easy money! Like

the "bank criminal society" there has been

almost no control or enforcement of this

class of criminals and no gunfights.

Does the "New" health plan reduce costs to

the populace. The simple answer is no.

The public option is more expensive than

the private. It is a convenience for the rich

who like to have more options. Estimations

are that that around 2% will take the Public

plan offered by the Feds. This is a pathetic,

costly, option that hardly benefits the whole. In

essence the cost of health care will not be

much different after the bill is passed

than before.

We are left with an impending disaster. In short

order Americans will not have adequate health care.

This is not the result of "lack of coverage"

but due to the real cost that providers and

insurers charge which is out of control. Lack of

focus on the expanding cost of medical care has

resulted in an ineffective and weak bill. Another

poor choice by our politicians goes into

effect and we pay the bill in grief and dollars.

Mr. Obama I would suggest that you take a

laxative to purge the legions of lobbyists from

your bowels. Take a big one Mr. Obama.

MONDAY - OCTOBER 26 , 2009

MONDAY - OCTOBER 26 , 2009

Today 14 U. S. troops died in the War in

Afghanistan. This brings the total to 807 Dead

American soldiers involved in Operation

Enduring freedom. A high price to pay for

sand and caves. The total for Iraqi Operation

freedom stands at 4204. Both operations

continue and these casualties only include

American troops. Many nations have

contributed to this "cause" and are now

suffering more casualties.

That is almost 5000 american dead in both

operations and unknown is the death toll

in other operations that we are involved in

globally. Those were real human beings not

faceless counts on CNN or Fox News.

We are far removed from the reality of

death at a young age on the actual

battlefield. The media and the white house,

both seem to have a casual attitude which

I find ignorant and arrogant. These casualties

pale when compared to past operations,

VietNam, Korea to name only two. Looking

at it from a non emotional view point these

operations in Iraqi and Afghanistan are an

enormous drain on the economy and decay

the leadership role of the U.S.

It is impossible to intimidate ,destroy and

then rebuild nations when the people of these

nations embrace a "religion" and philosophy

that is mostly anti social, anti american and

based on a history of brutal tribal rule. At one

time I thought of myself as moderate "hawk"

until I realized the term 'moderate hawk' is a

base contradiction. I thought that a little "ass

kicking" would truly solve problems. This was

linguistically and intellectually immature. An

increase in troop strength now will increase

casualties and increase hate for America and

will result in an deepening emotional and

economic crisis in the United States. It is a

formula for more killing. We have learned

nothing from history and the people we are

trying to "save" are irrational and have no

interest in developing a free society.

Perhaps the assumption that they might

want freedom and democracy as we know

it is a lesson in futility and outright arrogance.

In other words perhaps is it US and not THEM

who is at fault. Historically "nobel" intentions

often go unrewarded. Our intention is good in

concept but actually impractical and damaging

to the U.S.

Pushing democracy or capitalism with more

troops is like serving up chocolate cake to "fat

bottomed girls". They will eat the cake and rub

their tummies.

BORN AGAIN POLITICIANS

Seldom do I resort to humor because there is not

much of that in the "NOW" Political climate. This is a dismal

period in American politics and it has been for some time.

When did we decide to turn Congress and the House

into a modified Unitarian meeting places? The person

who coined the word Bipartisan should spend

a month in stocks on the White House lawn for

practicing witch craft. Both the Democrats and Republicans

have been reborn as eunuchs. Both are missing a

part of their anatomy. Of course to be politically correct I should

use a phrase that is not gender specific but I think

most women in America get my point. Please excuse

my directness but most politicians have simply lost their balls.

One of the great things of the past was the difference in political

parties. Not a handicap, since it put the juice in the political

process. Now most politicians are tip toeing through the tulips like

Easter bunnies. There is a nagging desire to not offend anyone

to the point of telling lies and using subterfuge. The great

denominator of American politics of the past was to vigorously

express opposing views. If you pointed your finger at someone

you thought was out of line you ran the risk of having your finger

broken. Open expression has been stymied by the media who

have decided that even late night show hosts should be targeted

for "immoral" behavior. Realize that late night and daytime talk

shows are already "immoral" since they insidiously shape

public opinion like Play-dough. All stand up citizens of America

should encourage differences and thinking out of the block ignoring

the insipid universal approval of an over stuffed uninformed public.

The public is keeping records on the sexual performance

of politicians as though it might be a strong indicator of political

performance. Perhaps this is envy by a public which focuses

on things with double vision. This is a public that spends millions

on drugs that give you an all day boner no matter what your

age. This is an age when the public is focused on chemicals

to curb Gluttony and an emerging Diabetic epidemic that

will probably kill more people than the black plague.

You want to cut health care cost? Stop stuffing food down your

throat like a Strasbourg goose. You want better legislation? Express

yourself by voting out the image building politicians who do

more cult building than legislation. I include the very guy who

should be paying less attention to his popularity and get

something done. He is the President of a great, fluffy, arrogant

country whose citizens and president should show their

ability at home before trying to reform other countries "democratic"

process.

Friday, October 2, 2009

More troops for Afghanistan is "historically"
an error in judgement and in the end

will increase the popularity of all terrorist

activity there and elsewhere globally.

We are not fighting for democracy

this is an invasion and illegal occupation.

Escalation is an act of treason since

in most ways it plays into the

hands of an "enemy" who are far less

popular than one can imagine.

Escalation will increase dramatically

the number of civilian casualties as it has

in our other U.S. wars of liberation. This action

will not speak of Democracy but of an

inability to follow the lessons of history.

There is a deep cultural mix of politics in

Afghanistan which is mostly tribal. Tribal

cultures tend to band together to fight

invasions from outside the tribal miix.

We will not be victorious but will expend

lives and dollars on a useless operation.

Allow the terrorist to operate freely and

they will in time be rejected by Afghanistan's

cultural and political infrastructure. How much

time? One could almost guarantee that it

will be far less time than the time needed

by the U.S. to exterminate the terrorists.

The terrorist in Afghanistan are not embraced

by the people they are universally unpopular. This

Brutal enforcement is not as a solution for the internal

problems of Afghanistan. Left alone, like most

brutal political organizations it will likely die

quicker than with the aid of outside military

action by the U.S. This is a simple historical

fact. Why the needless slaughter of U.S. troops

and the citizens of Afghanistan? In order to

understand this you only need to reference

a simple truth. The terrorist are an outside

influence and will be rejected as such. Eons

of cultural, tribal history support this thesis.

SIMPLE FACT!

Where are you Obama?

Obama has outshined Gaddafi's speech

in the U.N. grandstanding on a spectacular

scale. However if this is the role of a president

then we need to look at records and popularity

standings.

The fact is that a lot of Americans no longer

have faith in president Obama. This will be

illustrated in the next few days in Pittsburgh.

The Obama pick-up-stick health plan as

presented to the people is unstable as a bill

and will undergo such changes that one will

not recognize it as the presidents bill. At

their worst past presidents have generally

presented bills that are more or less

complete and not subject to vast changes

from the original bill.

At the present time Obama is becoming

eminently qualified to be an anchor man on

Fox or perhaps take over David Letterman's

slot. Should the president spend more

time on the myriad of problems that need

imediate attention and stop "grandstanding"

in public venues? Should not he

spend more time securing the future of

The United States economy? Banking,

unemployment, "the war".

these are questions to be answered.

Mr. President show us your nose to the

grindstone in the oval office. We know

you now and as they say in Brooklyn,

"We got your number".

Get back to running the nation!

YOUR NEXT TELEPHONE BILL MAY BE A SURPRISE

There seems to be no ethical boundries for what banks do in the new

American economy. My recent statement included a notice on page one.

Now we all know that you pay little attention to what is on the first

page and move on to the account information which is not only the

normal thing to do but habitual. on page one was this notice below

some account information in small type.

Due to the new American economy I read my statements carefully.

"Effective November 10, 2009 in order for the Bank to better service

your account or collect any amounts you owe, we, our affiliates

and/or service providers may from time to time make calls and/or

send text messages to the telephone number(s) associated with your

account, including wireless telephone number(s) that could result in

charges to you.

The manner in which these calls or text messages are made to you may

include, but is not limited to, the use of prerecorded/artificial voice

messages and/or an automatic telephone dialing system. If you do not

want to receive prerecorded/artificial voice messages or automatic

telephone dialing system calls on your wireless telephone, please

contact us at 1-866-211-6980.

One should question such nonsense when there is no clear

prior notification of this change in account policy. I am not

a banking expert but my extensive knowledge of banking

with Citi Bank, Chase, Bank of America, Bank of Tokyo, and

various other banks gives me suspect that a notice of change

in policy should be clear. This might be a violation of banking

laws since no notification or change was clearly noted.

In the last 30 years I have always received notices from the

aformentioned banks when there was a change in the terms of

any account. Read the above carefully and note that you will be

paying for any call made to you for any reason. Which could be

almost any thing including auto advertising.

This is a show of real balls. I use a vulgate term because I consider

this a vulgar policy and an invasion of privacy. Not to mention the

fact that you are paying for the banks calls and messages to your

mobil devices and your home phone.

Not only do some banks use our tax money for a marvelous

recovery but now expext the customer to pay for their

operating costs. I have posted an e/mail to this banks directors

and will keep you informed of the reply which I do not

expect to arrive.

What bank would have the nerve to do this?

Look for the telephone number in this posting.

THE CALL IS FREE...SAY HELLO!

SURPRISE THE BANK!

STRENGTH OR WEAKNESS?

The media or Obama, who is worse? I am forced to be critical about the upcoming battle lines being mustered for the historical battle that might result in health care bill fair to all Americans I see one clear and obvious flaw. Obama and his foes are wasting time since there is no clarity on either side about what a new "complete" bill would cover. The bipartisan approach that the president explains in his echo chamber is ridiculous to even consider. All three sides, Left , Right, Middle are so far apart that they are beginning to look like the auto industry who pulled the drain plug in their own boat and committed auto suicide way back when. The historical decline of the auto industry was hastened by their inability to act. There was no plan then and there is no clear health plan being presented now. Even the goals are unclear to most people and I see an endless process of bills and more bills to strike provisions of the last bill. The health plan is beginning to look like a job security plan for the Congress and the Senate on both sides of the aisle. Not to mention the lobbyists who crowd the chamber and the upscale resturaunts in the capital city. This would bring to question the idea of bipartisan agreement on the issue at hand.

Bipartisan agreement is an insidious way to water down Health care legislation that Americans are going to live with for a long time. We have conflict for a reason and that is to come up with a solution that considers the pros and cons in a matrix of sensible discussion. Disagreeing is part of the American political process. Who cares if the new health plan wears a "bipartisan" Tu. Tu. Only clarity and a fair shake for all Americans should be the goal. A complicated political mix of private and public interest will only drag out the process of not making a decision. Present your bill Obama and duke it out in the old fashioned way! Stop being a wimp and get something done. Use your bully pulpit to cut through the nonsense of tip toeing in through the posies.

ELECTIONS?

Futile elections in Iraq where the votes are brought in by

donkey carts dodging sniper fire continue. A lot of donkeys

are going to die. Unlike citizen voters they do not risk having

an ink stained finger cut off by an avenging Taliban enforcer.

The "Taliban" varies just as the past drafts in the U.S. consisted

of desparate young citizens. They are not all die hard idealist

on a Jihad but a diverse group. Estimations are that less

than10% of them are hard core idealistic Taliban. The rest

are basically a result of the economic and political chaos.

They are mostly paid mercenaries the unemployed, soldiers

of fortune and poorly paid reluctant recruits forced into service.

They are the young who are often hungry and immature.

Imagine a recruit from a black ghetto in Chicago or the back

woods of Arkansas and you can imagine the position of most

taliban soldiers. It is simple a matter of survival just as a it was

a trail out of the Ghetto and out of an economically depressed

areas in the U.S. Ask yourself what percentage of draftees

during the final phase Korean War were Patriots? The existence

of organizations such as the Taliban is due to irresponsible

political/economic policies by most nations. Legions of poor and

unemployed people invite discord, revolutions, and chaotic

social collapse. We are the enemy not the Taliban. We have

failed just as theTaliban will fail due to greed and misguided

religious and political beliefs.

The media has reported a large turnout for the elections in

Iraq. This is a fable told by the errant press. The people

of Iraq were kept away from the polls by the threat of violent

reprisals from both the Taliban and local officials. Holding

an election inIraq is comparable to the fear blacks experienced

when they thought of registering to vote. Before extensive civil

rights legislation it was simply dangerous for a black who

ventured to register. You did not loose a finger but the prospect

of death and destruction of personal property was a reality. Then

the fear of reprisals by whites was just as real as threats from

the Taliban now.

Enforcing or supporting an election in a cloud of chaos is futile.

The cost of American support for elections is a huge waste

of American taxpayers money. More importantly the loss of

American lives for a futile war or "election" is unforgivable.

There is much to learn form our own past history of violence

and suppression.
